Ensuring your car is roadworthy by getting an MOT is not just good driving practice. It's your legal duty as driver.

 

You can't drive your vehicle on the road if the MOT has expired and you could be prosecuted if caught. So, you must get an MOT test every year once your vehicle is three years old (you can check the Government's MOT fees table to see when).

Road drainage trouble - a bad case of deja vu?

Drivers across the UK say road drainage is as bad this winter as the last one. But, without the excuse of last winter’s 'biblical’ amounts of rainfall, councils are facing deeper resentment from motorists, AA research has found.

On 5 March 2015 the Government published its report on the condition of England’s roads - a key local election issue.

Time to change the driving test?

As the driving test recently reached its 80th anniversary in the UK, road safety charity the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) says its time the way we teach new drivers received a comprehensive overhaul to keep it relevant to today’s driving landscape and to the problems faced by young people on the road.

Half of UK wouldn't travel in driver-less cars

As driver-less cars take to public roads, half of Britons would not be passengers in the self-driving vehicles it has emerged.

Half of Britons would be unwilling passengers in driver-less cars over safety worries, with 16 per cent professing to feel 'horrified’ by the belief of unmanned vehicles driving on British roads.

Volkswagen Passat announced Car of the Year 2015

Car of the Year 2015, the Volkswagen Passat, was announced in Palexpo on the eve of Geneva Motor Show press day. Hakan Matson, president of the Jury, handed the trophy to Heinz-Jakob Neusser, responsible of Techical Development for the brand.
